Job Title: Collection Services Manager

Job Requirements:

An opportunity is available for an innovative, collaborative and forward-thinking professional to oversee the selection, ordering, receiving, cataloging and processing of all materials for the collection in alignment with the Library’s strategic direction. While providing leadership for a department of five, the selected individual will gather and analyze data about library content usage to establish departmental goals, prepare and manage the annual department budget, recommend and implement policy and procedural changes. Also, the selected individual will manage the integrated library database system in conjunction with the Information Technology Department.

Requirements for this position include an ALA/MLS degree, ISL LC3 Certification and a minimum of three years’ management experience leading a diverse group of people. Proven experience working in collection development is an additional requirement. Excellent interpersonal and written communications skills along with an ability to lead, motivate and challenge staff is an essential requisite for this opening.

Job Benefits:

This is an exempt position requiring 40-45 hours per week with a starting salary of $50,900 per year with an excellent employee benefit package including paid vacation, sick and personal leave. The selected individual must be available to work a variety of hours including evenings and weekends.
