Adult Learning Center Tutors volunteer their time to help improve the lives of adults in our community. No prior experience in teaching or foreign languages is needed to get involved. Volunteers meet with adult learners one-on-one or in small groups for one (1) hour each week. All JCPL volunteers must complete a limited criminal background check before meeting with an adult learner. Tutoring sessions are conducted at the Adult Learning Center or a Johnson County Public Library branch location.
Prospective volunteers are encouraged to contact the ALC by completing the ALC Tutor Form.
